The Catholic Medical Association of Buffalo had its annual White Mass and dinner on February 9, 2019. The keynote speaker was Cynthia Hunt, MD, Psychiatrist on the topic: The Role of a Catholic Medical Professional in Exorcism and Deliverance.

In March 2017, the guest speaker for the Ethics & Medicine talk was Fr. Robert McTeigue, SJ on the topic of "Spiritual Warfare for Health Professionals".

 

 

"Moral Courage in Medicine"

Presented by Bishop Richard J. Malone

 

The CMA of Buffalo held its 2017 White Mass and Luncheon in February for medical professionals & their families. It featured Mass at St. Joseph's Cathedral followed by a luncheon at the Adam's Mark Hotel with speaker Bishop J. Richard Malone on the topic "Moral Courage in Medicine".

 

"Barriers to Healing"

Presented by Fr. Richard Zajac

 

Father Richard Zajac, Chaplain of the CMA Buffalo, made a presentation after the 2016 White Mass entitled "Barriers to Healing". Fr. Zajac, known in many circles as "Father Duke", has been a staff chaplain at Sisters of Charity Hospital in Buffalo for many years. He has written several books compiling inspirational stories from his experiences called "Life Injections: Connecting Scripture to the Human Experience", available from Amazon here.

 

 

Dr. Gloria Roetzer's Remarks

Dr. Gloria Roetzer kicks off the luncheon with introductory remarks about what is new in the Catholic Medical Association of Buffalo as well as an overview of the recent National CMA Conference whose theme was "Healing the Wounded Culture". She also announced that the next national conference will be in October in Washington, DC and will be themed "Virtuous Medicine: The Joy and Privilege of the Catholic Physician".
